Warner Bros. sets 'Argo' for Sept. 14
Warner Bros. will open Ben Affleck's hostage thriller "Argo" on Sept. 14. "Argo," which focuses on the operation in order to save six Us citizens inside the 1979 Iran hostage crisis, might be the 2nd title round the date following Sony's "Resident Evil 5." Warner introduced Wednesday it had dated "Gangster Squad" for March. 19, 2012. "Argo" is directed by Affleck and produced by George Clooney, Grant Heslov and Affleck. It stars Affleck, Alan Arkin, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman. Warner gave Affleck's "The CityInch the identical weekend a year ago, opening that title on Sept. 17.
