I forgot the name of this film,can someone help me?

Ok I watched this like in 2006/7 when I was like 9/10 and it was
basically this little girl that was living in this care home for like
rich kids whilst their fathers or their families were like busy in
world war 2? Not sure but anyway her dad dies and she gets sent to the
attic where she meets this other girl thats lost her family.

I dont know much more cos thats when the film got cut off by the bell
but I remember it now and I really wanna finish it :3.
